The busy bee setup

At Busy Bee’s, every instrument is treated with the same love and care you can expect from any other passionate musician. When your instrument is on my bench, it gets the same attention I, as a touring musician, give my own tools of the trade.

Check In / Initial Inspection

Once you bring your instrument in, we begin the check-in process. At this time you, and your instrument, have a few questions to answer

Timeline / Quote

After your instrument and your information has been taken, I’ll go over the specifics of the requested repairs and/or services, present a timeline, and agree to a quote and budget.

Playtest / Inspection

The work begins with a thorough playest, ensuring everything is functional, as well as an in-depth inspection. Measurements are taken to compare to my specification. If at any point during this in-depth inspection another problem is found, I’ll let you know, and we can decide how to handle it.

Adjustments / Detail

Your instrument is thoroughly cleaned, frets are polished, neck is treated, hardware is tightened, and all adjustments are performed according to Busy Bee’s shop specs. Once I finish this part, I playtest again, taking the time to stretch strings and tweak anything that needs tweaking in order to further dial-in your instrument.

Final Inspection

The last once-over. All measurements are checked, once again, and one final playtest is performed. After I finish rocking out on it one last time, your instrument is cleaned and tuned again before being placed in its case (if provided) and set to await pickup.
